Position: Cyber Security Engineer II
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled
Cyber Security Engineer II to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity for a security professional looking to design and implement cutting-edge solutions to defend computer systems, networks, and information from unauthorized access, modification, or destruction. The ideal candidate will have experience across multiple domains, including client-server systems, networking, and application development, as well as a passion for continuous improvement and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, planning, and implementation of cyber security solutions in waterfall or agile projects.
- Automate processes for provisioning, maintenance, and monitoring to reduce impact on operations teams.
- Collaborate with users and technical staff to assess requirements, recommend designs, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Document solutions and provide training for transition to operations teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex cyber security issues and escalate as needed to ensure timely resolution.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Cyber Security Engineering team and the Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC).
- Research and recommend technology standards and best practices to improve system security.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with cyber security technology design and administration in large, complex environments.
- Expertise in cryptography, network defense, endpoint protection, forensics, data protection, and incident response.
- Knowledge of compliance standards such as HIPAA, PCI, and SOX.
- Proficiency with next-generation firewalls, IDS/IPS, network access control, endpoint detection, digital forensics, and cloud security technologies.
- Strong project planning and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business teams.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security or related technology field.
- Multiple industry certifications in Cyber Security, Systems Administration, or Networking.
- Experience with Active Directory, Linux OS, networking, penetration testing, and encryption systems.
