Media A La Carte is a boutique social media agency specializing in organic social, content production, and paid social for clients in the luxury beauty, wellness, jewelry, and alcohol spaces. We’re a woman founded team with a desire to hire a good fit for our team because our philosophy is: life’s too short to work with people you don’t like. We take our work for our clients super seriously but also watch Gilmore Girls in the studio on Wellness Wednesdays once a month. You get the vibe. Our nails are flawless, we love to chat about the latest killer campaign (hem hem, Alex Cooper for Skims bridal?!?! iconic) and we can execute what gets our clients results without breaking a sweat. We’re at the helm of the new era in digital marketing, bringing it all in house, and doing it with style.

Available opportunity
As a key role within Media A La Carte, the Social Media Content Strategist acts as the vital link between the company and its clients. They play a pivotal role in fostering effective communication and implementing best practices to drive success. Additionally, they oversee the development and execution of client social media campaigns, ensuring that strategies align with client objectives. The Social Media Content Strategist takes charge of new business development initiatives, collaborating with teams on lead generation, proposal development, budgeting, and fostering growth opportunities within their office.
Here’s what we need
- 5+ years of social media strategy for luxury brands in the fashion, beauty, or jewelry space, preferably with agency vs. in-house.
- A passion for fueling team growth and nurturing talent.
- Always on top of what Alix Earle wore last week and has to be the first one to try the new beauty drop from their favorite brand at Sephora.
- Appreciates the art of dotting I’s and crossing T’s. The devil is in the details.
- Media junkie - there’s no such thing as reading/watching too much. Bonus points for pop culture acumen.
- Leads teams by example, showcasing professionalism, punctuality and problem solving while maintaining a sense of humor.
- Has the ability to really dig deep into client goals to help teams create excellent content for clients both on the production side and the editing/final assets side.
- Enjoys helping teams create and tailor, effective comprehensive social strategies that are creative, thoughtful and help move clients toward their goals.
- Be the sounding board and resource for clients, leading the teams on calls, in meetings and knowing when to shift course to get back on track.
- Love of a fast-paced environment and the satisfaction of a busy yet productive day. Is a master multi-tasker.
- Mastery of ClickUp/project management software to not only execute your own tasks to the best of your ability but to catch mistakes from the team to ensure deliverables are always on track for clients.

Roles and Responsibilities
CLIENT RELATIONS
- Takes discovery/sales calls, pitches new business, creates proposals, and wow-s every prospective client who inquires to get them to a ‘hell yes!’
- Reviews and executes client contracts with forethought, accuracy, and without needing approval/input from the CEO.
- Leads all client meetings with ease, personality, and authority.
- Ensures team members build trust and authority with clients.
- Evaluates and optimizes communications processes - loves to work smarter, not harder
- Works to solve immediate customer issues or concerns, as well as create proactive workflows and routines to ensure a seamless client experience.
STRATEGY + OVERVIEW OF EXECUTION
- Oversees creative direction and development of client strategies.
- Translates client requests into actionables with the ability to distinguish a poor request with one that will move the strategy forward.
- Protector of the brand : catch inaccuracies in graphic design, help a feed go from dull to fabulous in 5 minutes flat, and put together a shot list for a shoot that translates client style from theory to execution with ease.
- Ability to distinguish good content from bad content and be able to articulate how to fix it.
- Be responsible for client results and satisfaction.
- Reviews client content from our social media managers and video editors and give thoughtful, clear, and accurate notes to make content the best it can be.
- Oversees and manages all content shoots for clients both in our Chelsea studio and on-location ensuring we ‘get the shot’ and that deliverables exceed expectations, match client style, and will function well on social.

PAY: This position offers a salary starting at $80k/year
