We are looking to establish a dynamic new product team that will be responsible for the development and implementation of cloud-based big data solutions, the ideal candidate will have deep experience moving large datasets, storage, and record retention on Cloud/AWS. The primary purpose of this service is to facilitate data archival and retention deletion, but it will also involve transforming and ingesting legacy data. We are currently seeking an experienced data engineer who can contribute to the team by assisting in the design, development, and support of solutions on AWS. Additionally, this role will involve enhancing and resolving any defects in the products and services created by the team. The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for continuous learning and applying new technical and business skills. A strong product mindset and the ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced, and ever-evolving environment will greatly benefit this team.

Qualifications
These positions span a broad set of technical skills; Candidates with software development and big data experience along with a willingness to learn while working in a fast-paced challenging agile environment are encouraged to apply.
Ideal candidate will have the following:
- 4-5 years of professional work experience programming with Python
- 2+ years of professional work experience programming with Scala
Additional Desired Skills:
- Strong experience in handling large-scale Big Data datasets containing a combination of structured and unstructured data.
- Proficient in working with AWS S3 Glacier storage, AWS Glue, Apache Spark, and Terraform for efficient data processing and storage.
- Expert in Data Analysis and writing queries using Athena, performing data accuracy amongst various integration points in a pipeline considering different data formats
- Skilled in SQL and adept at extracting and manipulating data from various sources.
- Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) systems, preferably with Gitlab CI.
- Proficient in using testing tools such as JUnit and Cucumber to ensure high-quality software development.
- Experience with Containers-as-a-Service (CaaS) architecture.
- Extensive experience in ETL (extracting, transforming, and loading) processes for data used in analytic discovery and deployment of production solutions across multiple platforms.

Salary Range: $82,786.28 - $156,200
For NYC and CT candidates:
Potential salary range: $82,786.28 - $177,500
Potential yearly incentive pay: 4%-12% of base salary
