How is This Role Important to Our Work?

We are looking for a passionate, hard-working QA Engineer who can help us build innovative technology experiences that will support Coupe Health’s mission to inspire change, transform care and improve health for the people we serve. The QA Engineer will understand business requirements and perform system testing , integration testing, and regression testing within data pipelines and application integrations.

A Day In The Life

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data validation and verification
Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity
Test API Data exchange and communication between Internal & External applications , systems using industry standard APIs such as KONG , Postman
Test AWS Glue ETL pipelines that transform & load data across applications / systems.
Create and maintain automated test scripts to streamline the testing process
Identify, report, and track defects and inconsistencies in data through appropriate tracking tools
Prepare datasets that assist in different levels of testing.
Work collaboratively on a daily scrum team with a scrum master, product owner, analysts, other developers, and testers to iteratively deliver functional code to production.
Provide technical leadership for projects and products to ensure usability, usefulness, feasibility, and cost effectiveness.
Work with analysts and customers to establish product or project requirements.
Contribute innovative solutions while utilizing best practices, design standards, and governance.
Research technology trends and contribute to designs and technology platform decisions.
Mentor, lead, train other engineers.
This job may include on-call duties.

Nice To Have

Bachelor’s Degree.
Strong development experience using: AWS Glue, KONG , Postman, Data Modeling, ETL, Test Automation, Terraform, AWS RDS, MS SQL, Oracle, Postgres, NoSQL, AWS cloud infrastructure, web, mobile, API, and IoT solutions, NoSQL, GitLab.
Experience with agile, DevOps, IT Service Management, and other development and support processes and methodologies
In depth prototype design and implementation experience.
Knowledge of managed care and health care claims, Membership & Provider Domains
Experience with Agile Testing, DevOps, IT Service Management, and other development and support processes and methodologies, Jira, Microsoft Teams, ServiceNow, Visual Studio, SSMS, SSIS, SSRS.
Essential Candidate Qualities: Creative thinking, strong communication skills, creativity, curiosity, self-motivated, time management skills

Required Skills And Experiences

5+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
Experience and understanding of Relational Database Management Systems (AWS RDS, MS SQL Server, Postgres, Oracle etc.). Preferred: Microsoft SQL Server.
Strong Understanding of BI/ETL/ELT development in the IT industry with recent QA experience
Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server – SQL Procedures, functions, packages.
