Clariant is currently looking for a Quality Control Lead to oversee the quality control processes within the manufacturing facility in Colton, CA. This role involves hands-on inspection and testing of products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications, and interpreting contracts to align quality control activities with contractual requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical documents and specifications. This position is a full time, onsite opportunity. Responsibilities

Lead the Quality Control team in all audits of system management, internally and externally
Lead management of change activities that impact quality control (i.e. First Article Acceptance)
Conduct comprehensive inspections and testing of first articles to verify government compliance with technical specifications and customer requirements
Utilize precision measuring tools and equipment to perform dimensional and functional inspections
Participate in quality audits and assessments to ensure Clariant’s compliancy and adherence to government flow-down directives
Mentor and train quality control technicians on policies and procedures
Perform all responsibilities of a Quality Tech I and Quality Tech II, as needed
Design, develop, and implement best quality practices and processes for product developments, including new QC methods
Optimize existing QC methods to ensure accurate analytical results
Maintain an accurate reporting structure for analytical results
Design, develop, and implement best quality practices and processes for product developments
Identify the root cause of quality problems and coordinate modifications or corrective actions
Ensure contract compliance by reviewing and approving quality requirements for supplier purchase orders, manufacturing, and other related services

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field; commensurate years of experience will be accepted in lieu of education
3 to 5 years of experience in a quality control role with ever increasing responsibility within a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles, Microsoft Office Suite, and SAP preferred
Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques
Hands-on experience with inspection and testing equipment
The annual salary range for this position is $68,835 - $105,000
