Description

As an Algorithmic Trading Engineer at Kbit, you will spearhead the development and execution of quantitative options trading strategies on centralized cryptocurrency exchanges. Building on our robust delta-one trading strategies, which include market making and arbitrage in crypto spot and perpetual swap markets, you will lead our expansion into options trading. While prior experience in cryptocurrency markets is not required, you should have a strong background in professional options trading. Our firm is focused on systematic and algorithmic trading, and you will be expected to develop automated strategies such as market making in options markets, volatility arbitrage, and cross-market arbitrage.

We are open to applicants for this position in Singapore, Hong Kong, London, NYC, and San Diego.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain the health of the trading system to ensure optimal performance.
Identify, triage, and resolve issues in real-time to minimize impact on trading activities.
Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline operations and support workflows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system reliability and performance.
Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical trading operations.

Required Skills And Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
Experience developing systematic, algorithmic trading strategies
Proficiency in Python for research, testing, and strategy implementation
Familiarity with financial data analysis tools
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and quantitative skills

Desired Qualities

Experience trading in cryptocurrency markets
Familiarity with crypto market structure and major exchanges
Familiarity with Linux and AWS platforms
Prior experience in trading systems, particularly in an operations or support role.
