Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML) Engineer / Data Scientist

As a member of our R&D software development team, you will have the opportunity to closely work and collaborate with other AI/ML experts in the design and development of AI/ML models for R&D projects, as well as with software developers, other data scientists, project managers and external partners. You will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge base and gain valuable experience through your engagement in the latest cutting-edge technologies.

Qualifications, skills and expertise:

· Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or ICT related area (e.g. Maths, Physics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer/Systems Engineering), and/or PhD degree in Computer Science, preferably in AI/ML, Deep Learning and data mining.

· Strong research skills with prior experience in with one more in the following: supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning, neural networks and game theory.

· Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated proficiency in the development of AI/ML models and algorithms.

· Research track record in related areas with preference for industrial and/or EU funded H2020 and/or Horizon Europe R&D&I projects is a plus.

· Excellent knowledge of Python is a must.

· Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

· Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills in English language.

· Excellent organisation and team working skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.

· Prior knowledge of 5G/6G working principles and/or cybersecurity is a plus.

Job description:

The AI/ML Software Engineer will undertake the design, development, testing, validation of AI/ML algorithms/models and their integration either in the systems developed as part of EU co-funded R&D projects or in the company’s portfolio of services. In particular, to:

· Undertake feasibility studies to integrate AI/ML functionalities into software systems.

· Research novel AI/ML techniques and develop tailored AI/ML algorithms and models.

· Develop datasets to methodologically test and validate the robustness of the developed AI/ML algorithms and models.

· Closely collaborating with the team of software developers to integrate the developed AI/ML algorithms and models into software systems and applications.

· Successfully integrate newly developed AI/ML algorithms and techniques into software systems.

· Participate in related R&D/R&I activities of the company, including training, joining teleconferences and project meetings, making contributions to R&D/R&I proposals and project deliverables, etc., as required.
