Role Description

The Simon Law Group is seeking a full-time hybrid role for a Legal Medical Records Assistant. This role involves managing and organizing medical records for legal purposes. This role will be responsible for tasks such as managing medical records, using medical terminology, maintaining phone etiquette, utilizing communication skills, and performing clerical duties.

Key Responsibilities

Efficiently request, organize, manage medical records and billing.
Ensure strict confidentiality and accuracy of medical records.
Serve as the primary liaison between healthcare providers, clients, and attorneys, ensuring seamless communication and updates on case statuses.
Support attorneys by acquiring, summarizing, and organizing medical records for case preparation.
Accurately enter and update patient information in electronic medical record platforms.
Maintain the confidentiality and security of all client information.

Skills

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of medical terminology and legal documentation.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in Health Information Management or relate field preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience with Medical Records retrieval
Experience in medical office administration or records management
Prior experience in a personal injury law setting is high desirable.
Proficiency in using legal software, experience in Clio software is a plus.
