Join our innovative team at Hobby Farm as a Senior Crypto Game Developer and be at the forefront of the gaming revolution! We are ready to begin building our game, which means we need an senior-level developer who understands what we are going to accomplish. This isn't just a game, it fully incorporates multiple tokens, NFTs, smart contracts, etc. on the Base network in a way that can earn our Hobby Farmers real profit if they do well in-game. That being said, this is not the environment to learn in. You already know what to do.

To protect intellectual property and ensure a competitive advantage this early in the project, considered applicants will be required to sign an NDA as part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop gameplay systems and features with a focus on integrating cryptocurrency transactions and NFT functionalities.
Work collaboratively with artists, designers, and other developers to ensure a seamless and innovative integration of blockchain technology.
Develop smart contracts and ensure their security and efficiency.
Implement game mechanics based on economic theories to create engaging and sustainable player economies.
Analyze game performance and player behavior to continually optimize the economic model and player experience.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in blockchain technology, gaming platforms, and development tools.

Required:

Proven experience as a Game Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills.
Solid understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, and NFTs, preferably with experience working on at least one blockchain-based game.
Proficient in smart contract development and familiar with security practices related to blockchain and cryptocurrency.
Strong foundation in economic theory, particularly in game economics and designing virtual economies.
Proficiency in game development engines and tools such as Unity3D, Unreal Engine, or similar.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for creating innovative gaming experiences.

Preferred:

Experience with tokenomics and understanding of different blockchain networks.
Published games or projects that involve blockchain integration.
Advanced degree in Game Design, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
