Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Freight Broker to join our team. As a Freight Broker, you will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of goods between shippers and carriers. This role requires strong negotiation skills, knowledge of logistics, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

- Generate leads and build relationships with shippers and carriers
- Coordinate shipments and negotiate rates with carriers
- Utilize logistics software to track shipments and maintain records
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations for specialized freight
- Manage accounts and provide exceptional customer service
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently

Skills:

- Proficiency in logistics sales and account management
- Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive rates
- Knowledge of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems
- Familiarity with logistics software for tracking shipments
- Ability to navigate complex transportation regulations
- Experience in lead generation within the freight industry
