Role Description

This is a remote contract role for Podcast Editor at The Fandom Report. This requires audio and video editing. You will be responsible for:

Editing and enhancing audio and video assets into quality episodes for YouTube and Spotify/Apple Podcasts/etc.
Finding and adding music, sound effects, b-roll, film/tv clips, etc as needed.
Lifting ~5 moments per episode to edit for social media (includes reformatting and captions)

The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. It will begin as a part-time contract role with the potential to become full-time.

Qualifications

Proficiency in audio editing software (Adobe Audition, Audacity, etc)
Proficiency in video editing software (Premiere Pro, Capcut, etc)
Basic understanding of video podcast production and distribution
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and remotely
Previous social media experience (as a social media manager, content editor, etc) is a plus
Passion for all things nerdy and fandom is a must!
