Responsibilities

Summary:

Are you a data enthusiast with a passion for uncovering insights and driving efficiency? Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) is looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our Utility Operations team. In this pivotal role, you will perform data analytics to provide actionable insights and create visualizations that support our Construction and Maintenance teams. Your expertise in data discovery, dashboard creation, automated reporting, storm modeling, and data cleanup will be essential in streamlining operations and driving strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:

1. Support development and maintenance of reliable and accurate information for daily operations including crew, financial, outage response, and work order data.

2. Creates, compiles, and delivers reports to communicate efficiencies, work productivity and duration to improve performance and customer service.

3. Develop timely charts, data models, analytics, dashboard design, and summaries to relay information to diverse audiences.

4. Periodically perform street light survey utilizing a computer program and providing accurate data on any streetlights that are not working.

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent GED.
Strong proficiency in creating pivot tables, charts and graphs, and sorting and filtering data.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, proficient in Excel.
Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Valid Driver¿s License and safe driving record.
Must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule. When occasionally performing street light survey the hours will be evening or night hours.
Must be capable of working under minimal supervision.

Salary:

$30.58 / hourly
