We are pyxer, a visual gen AI startup in the photography and apparel B2C space, on a mission to revolutionize clothes shopping.

We are building an AI professional photographer and stylist that helps people discover and shop their perfect looks. Visualize yourself in various outfits, accessories, hairstyles, backgrounds, poses, and more using our AI photography tools. Our ultimate goal is to create a full professional fashion photoshoot experience with AI, allowing you to generate stunning new images of yourself in a wide range of looks and shop your favorites styles across brands.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our team as a UI/UX Intern. The ideal candidate is passionate about user-centered design and is eager to gain hands-on experience in creating user-friendly and visually appealing digital products. As a UI/UX Intern, you will work closely with our engineering team to contribute to various stages of the design process.

This role is ideal for you if:

You are passionate about our mission and are looking for a long-term employment opportunity beyond the internship (e.g. part-time role, full-time founding designer role).
You prefer collaborating in-person with a team, rather than remotely. This internship will take place entirely in-person at our office in Santa Clara, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and refine user interfaces for mobile applications.
Conduct user research, including surveys, interviews, and usability testing, to gather insights and understand user needs.
Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using design tools.
Collect and analyze user feedback to iterate on design solutions.
Create design documentation, style guides, and design systems.
Work closely with developers to ensure that design specifications are accurately implemented.

Qualifications:

Understanding of user experience design principles, usability, and accessibility standards.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions effectively.
Keen attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality user experiences.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling design challenges.
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), etc.

Duration:

3 months, starting from June.

Compensation:
