Uprise’s mission is to give everyone in the world the ability to optimize their finances.

We enable financial companies to offer human+AI-powered financial advisory to their customers. Basically, think if Robinhood rolled out "Robinhood Wealth Management" - we would power that for them under the hood - bringing the tech, the financial advisors, and the regulatory/compliance support. About the role

We’re looking for a part-time senior product design contractor to partner with us across multiple in-flight and upcoming projects.

This role is remote, but we’re looking for someone in US time zones. Most of the team operates on Pacific time.

Estimated time commitment: ~20 hours per week.

What you’ll do

Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team to define user needs, and business goals.
Lead design projects across the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to delivery.
Drive design quality forward with designs that instill trust with our partners and end users.
Conduct user research, review past research, and use insights to inform product design decisions.
Work closely with engineering to implement and QA finished designs and continuously iterate on our products, always looking to improve what has been done.
Wear different hats. We’re a small team so we’re looking for someone who’s okay with pitching in in different areas - i.e. helping create sales deck assets, images for marketing posts, etc.

Who you are

You have:

5-10 years of product design experience, with experience shipping high-quality work and iterating based on learnings.
A strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in creating user-centered designs.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

You are passionate about:

Simplifying the unnecessary complexity in the world of finance.
Finding elegant solutions to complex problems.
Providing direct value to users, our partners and the business.

Nice-to-have:

Experience in fintech, B2B2C, and/or AI.

Jessica Chen Riolfi (CEO/Co-Founder) previously built product at Robinhood, was the head of Asia for Transferwise, and head of product for Earnin.

Chris Goodmacher (Co-Founder) was previously employee/engineer #2 and the 1st PM at Justworks.

Nantha Muthusamy (Co-Founder/Head of Engineering) was an AI/ML engineer at Facebook and Oracle.

Caroline Petty (Financial Planning Lead) previously managed mutual fund research at Raymond James.
