GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Under the direction of the Corporate Controller, the Data Analyst will serve as the finance data governor for Vendor and Customer data updates as well as the Finished Good’s related costing (e.g. item code review, bill of material (BOM) costing, etc.). The analyst’s primary focus will be to review approved requests, confirm data requirement completeness, analyzing, and interpreting data to support the Finance portion of the data setup.

The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in all aspects of data analytics, including mining, generation, and visualization. Additionally, this person should be committed to transforming data into readable, goal-oriented reports that drive innovation and growth.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor and examine key data as assigned to support Vendor, Customer, Finished Good and other data related items.
Acquire data from primary and/or secondary data sources in preparation for data delivery or updates in defined systems.
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
Respond to inquiries about inventory data and look for trends, patterns, and anomalies within it.
Use NetSuite (ERP), Smartsheet, MS Office, and other tools as available from TFI USA.
Perform ERP transactions as assigned including but not limited to Vendor setup, Customer setup, data updates, review costing and other related transactions as authorized.
Partner with various areas of the business as part of each assigned transaction.
Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data
Perform other duties within scope and abilities as assigned by management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

3+ years of experience in data entry, data analysis, data mining, or data governance
Experience with data analysis, lookup, and comparison
Ability to pay attention to detail when working with data in order to make accurate conclusions and predictions
Experience with NetSuite or like ERP solution preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively share findings with shareholders
A solid understanding of data sources, data organization and storage
In-depth knowledge of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques
Knowledge of relevant relational databases
Ability to work independently while exercising good judgment and discretion
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organization and time management skills
Ability to provide strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance
Understand and abide by all safety regulations as well as policies and procedure set forth by Thomas Foods International USA
