We are an industry leader and technology innovator of critical network services to wireless service providers in the IoT, Prepaid Wireless, Mobile Broadband, and Lifeline verticals. We have several locations across the US. This position works from our Rockville, MD, location.

What You Will be Doing:

As Data Scientist I, you will work closely with cross-functional teams across our family of companies to design, develop, and deploy data-driven solutions on the AWS platform. You will use your expertise to analyze and model data, create and maintain data pipelines, and work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data requirements. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Analyzing large datasets to extract actionable insights and identify trends
Conducting complex A/B testing, analyzing churn, and using historical datasets for time series forecasting
Using statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports
Utilize AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Lambda, EMR, Kinesis, and Glue to manage and analyze data
Ensure data security and compliance with AWS best practices
Stay updated with the latest developments in data science and AWS technologies
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in data science workflow

How You Qualify:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
1-3 years of experience as a Data Scientist using AWS technologies
Strong proficiency in Python, R, or similar
Experience with AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Lambda, EMR, Kinesis, and Glue
Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or AWS QuickSight
Solid understanding of probabilities and statistical methods
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred:

Experience analyzing revenue churn in the Telecom industry.
Experience with big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience in deploying machine learning models in a production environment
