Who We Are:

Grand River Solutions provides a wide range of harassment and discrimination response and resolution services to schools and colleges delivered by individuals with direct, hands-on experience in education. We are currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented intern to join our team.

The Opportunity:

Location: Remote; Some in-person travel required (based in Greater NYC Area)

Status: Contract

Duration: 12-week commitment

Compensation: $20/hour

Job Type: Part-time; 15-20 hours/week

If you’re a current undergraduate or graduate student passionate about social media content creation and addressing the most difficult and prevalent public health challenges at colleges and universities, this opportunity may be for you! Grand River Solutions is seeking innovative content creators for a 12-week commitment throughout the summer and fall semester.

This position will be mostly remote, with priority for candidates located in the greater New York City area.

Key responsibilities:

Develop a diverse range of engaging and creative video content for trainings organized by GRS
Produce 10+ short form videos per week related to the training topic assigned
Edit and enhance existing video content
Collaborate with fellow students to generate content ideas, and encourage participation from various groups and student organizations to create content
Participate in team meetings
Attend 3-4 in-person weekend events
Other tasks as assigned

Skills and Competencies:

Ongoing associate’s, bachelor's, graduate/professional degree
Proven experience in content creation and video editing.
Proficiency in video editing software such as Cap Cut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Canva or equivalent.
Knowledge of social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram or Snapchat
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for creativity and innovation.
Basic understanding of Sexual Harassment prevention, Title IX, and Sexual Misconduct prevention education.
Involvement in on-campus student groups and organizations is desirable.
