Alaant is proud to partner with our innovative manufacturing client in search for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join their growing team.

As a Full-Stack Software Engineer you will lead the development and maintenance of software products across all phases, from research and prototyping to design for manufacturing (DFM) and production testing. In this role, you will be responsible for both new product development and the ongoing support of existing products in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities For The Full-Stack Software Engineer Role

Lead software product development efforts, including research, prototyping, DFM, and production testing.
Develop intuitive, user-friendly interfaces from wireframes through to final release, ensuring app maintenance and in-field upgrades.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product sustainability in a manufacturing setting.
Manage external vendors and ensure alignment with full-stack architecture requirements.
Lead code reviews, manage scrum meetings, and communicate project status and future directions effectively.
Develop Android and Linux GUI applications for instrumentation or scientific purposes.
Build back-end web databases with push notifications for critical user tasks.
Implement applications requiring Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® capabilities.
Utilize USB communication protocols to deploy new firmware releases on microcontrollers.
Manage defect tracking and resolution within an Agile framework, meeting project milestones and budget targets.

Requirements for the Full-Stack Software Engineer role:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science; master’s degree preferred
5 years of professional experience in a full-stack engineering role
Experience developing Android and Linux GUI applications for instrumentation purposes
Strong proficiency in C, C++, REACT, Java, Ruby on Rails, and Python, C# and SWIFT are desirable
Experience building backend web databases and integrating in AWS
Experience managing vendors to ensure projects and timelines are met
Ability to draft software requirement specifications (SRS), create and execute unit and integration testing
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Cardholder
