Glade is a software and game development studio based in San Francisco. We are building the next generation of games using AI, and offer a web platform with AI tooling for other game developers and studios.

We are looking for students or recent graduates to participate in our 3-month internship program. This is a fully remote opportunity, with flexible start and end dates. We’re looking for game developers and designers who are passionate about video games and new technologies. Our internship offers the opportunity to work hands-on in the creation of our products and make direct contributions to developments and strategy.

The following are areas of work that interns are given the option to choose from (can choose multiple):

Game Engineering (Unreal Engine 5 & C++)
Game Design & Writing
Sound Design & Music
Game UI/UX Design
3D Character Art and Modelling
3D Environment Art and Assets
3D Animation

Responsibilities:

Implement functionality and features (engineering, audio, art) and/or manage project support initiatives accordingly (production, marketing, design).
Contribute innovative and original ideas on all aspects of game production and development

Qualifications:

Demonstrates proficiency in the latest tools or technology in your field (project dependent). If interns wish to help with Game Engineering, we expect some proficiency in Unreal Engine 5 and C++ (must be able to show projects or portfolio).
Minimum 1 year of professional or academic experience with at least one video game project in the applicant's portfolio
Bachelor's Degree or currently obtaining a Bachelor's degree (those graduating by December 2024 or May 2025 are preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving ability and dealing with ambiguity
Ability to work independently but also interact as part of a team
Demonstrate strong time management skills and ability to follow through on project tasks
Strong passion for the video game industry

Compensation:

College credit is provided if possible/applicable
At the end of the internship, interns will be offered the opportunity to be considered for a full-time position (only applicable to graduated students or those graduating by December 2024)
Will be able to use your work in your public portfolio
