As a Chemist you will LEAD by……….

Maintaining a safe working environment by embracing Zero Incident Mindset and 5S concept.
Developing and maintain an external network of analytical services for ECMS.
Serving as the interface between R&D scientists and the analytical services to coordinate samples, testing, results & interpretations.
Working as part of the Team to complete complex tasks in a timely fashion, including the design and development of new experimental procedures and analytical methods.
Documenting and organize the collection of samples for possible testing and evaluation in the future.
Being responsible for operation and maintenance of ECMS analytical instrumentation.
Using analytical instrumentation and systems to perform/submit analysis for chemical or physical properties. Compile analytical data, summarize results, and report to supervisor.
Utilizing software to catalogue and/or plot results, maintain summary files, and develop reports/presentations.

Your elements for success……

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science
Experience in analytical chemistry, especially electron microscopy and x-ray diffraction.
Experience with microporous materials analysis and catalyst prep.
Strong hands-on experience and knowledge in maintaining and trouble-shooting lab equipment.
Strong math aptitude for data management.
Ability to design and execute experiments and present/report comprehensive summaries.
Basic chemistry knowledge (periodic table, pH, moles, acid, base, concentration, etc).
Proficiency in MS Office software required.
Prior exposure to related industrial safety protocols, such as NFPA labeling, SDS, Hazwoper, etc. is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced research environment and manage competing priorities effectively.

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $80,000-$95,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
