We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure and solutions. Reporting to the CTO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency while aligning with business goals. Your expertise in cloud technologies, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), combined with your deep understanding of systems design, will be essential to drive innovation and optimize our cloud environment.

Responsibilities:

Cloud Strategy & Architecture:

Develop and maintain a comprehensive cloud strategy that aligns with business objectives.
Design and implement scalable, high-performance cloud architectures on GCP.
Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies and services to optimize cost and performance.

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

Oversee the deployment and management of cloud resources (compute, storage, networking, etc.).
Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect cloud infrastructure and data.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Cloud Solution Design & Implementation:

Design and implement cloud-native solutions that leverage GCP services.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with cloud infrastructure.
Optimize cloud solutions for cost-effectiveness, reliability, and performance.
Design solutions that have edge-computing capabilities suitable for containerized deployment across a multi-cloud environment.

Systems Design & Integration:

Apply systems design thinking to develop integrated solutions that span cloud and on-premises environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud solutions with overall systems architecture.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineering and operations teams.
Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the cloud team.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including technical and non-technical audiences.

Project Management:

Plan, execute, and track cloud projects using tools like Jira.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Experience:

7+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering, with a strong focus on GCP.
Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale cloud solutions.
Deep understanding of cloud security principles and practices.
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure automation and orchestration tools.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
