Empowerment Resources Inc. (ERI), incorporated 2003, is a private 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization located in Jacksonville, Florida. The mission of the organization is to make children and families stronger and empower them to be successful leaders in the community today, for a better tomorrow. After research and community support, the founding executive director started a pilot program for girls, named Journey Into Womanhood(JIW) ^TM. In 2006, ERI expanded its programs to include Life Skills Workshops and Parenting Education Seminars that are offered in schools, churches, and recreation.

Role Description

This is a contract hybrid role for a Youth and Family Program Manager at Empowerment Resources, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL, with flexibility for some remote work. The Program Manager will oversee, coordinate and implement our three youth and family programs, establish community partnerships, and connect families with local resources. This person will also assist with data entry, attend community events and meetings, and support volunteers who also assist with program implementation. Must be available two Saturday's a month from 9am-2pm.

Qualifications

Experience in program management or coordination
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate with community agencies and businesses
Knowledge of youth development and family empowerment programs
Bachelor's degree in a related field (social work, psychology, community development, etc.)
Proficiency in computers including PC MS Office programs, knowledge of google platform ( Gmail, sheets, docs, drive) and Canva preferred
Self-starter and critical thinking skills
Must have a valid Driver’s License, pass a background check and have reliable transportation
