As a Data Engineer at Bit Complete, you will be an integral part of our client projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display initiative, and be enthusiastic about tackling new challenges in data engineering as we continue to push technology forward. With your technical expertise, you will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software products.You will be expected to scope and implement technical solutions with minimal guidance, produce maintainable software, and address opportunities to improve code structure and maintainability. You will take ownership of solutions and promote the quality of code within the team through timely code reviews and other technical feedback to peers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 2-4 years of relevant industry experience.

• Experience coding, testing, and deploying ETL pipelines using dbt or similar systems.

• Experience with data modeling, designing data warehouses, and supporting data consumers/stakeholders in a big data setting such as Snowflake.

• Proficiency in Python or similar languages.

• Strong attention to detail and a methodical mindset when it comes to ensuring data accuracy.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to collaborate with product and downstream stakeholders.

• Experience in software and data pipeline debugging.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions to ambiguous problems and client requirements, implementing data pipelines, warehouses, and applications.

• Build, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software and data solutions.

• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

• Represent the team in client meetings.

• Collaborate closely with teammates and help grow their abilities through technical contributions and feedback.
