Herman-Scheer is a brand consultancy that creates brands, products, and experiences for businesses that keep people healthy. We focus on a range of sectors, including disruptive healthcare, wellness technology, healthy food and beverages, fitness and recreation, and personal care. We have a 15 person team that is primarily remote with an office space in Santa Monica for occasional in person meetings and working sessions

As a Visual Designer, you'll be working alongside creative directors, strategists, copywriters, and other designers to help create a diverse range of design projects for our client partners that will be highly differentiated, strategic, and effective for their respective business goals.

Roles & Responsibilities

Design: Collaborate closely with our team to deliver graphic design support across a spectrum of client projects encompassing branding, web design, packaging, social media, and more
Conceptual Development: Contribute creative ideas and concepts for branding, campaigns, product launches, and other marketing initiatives
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including creative directors, designers, copywriters and account managers to bring design concepts to life and ensure consistency across all touchpoints
Presentation Skills: Effectively present design concepts and rationale behind creative decisions, showing design process, research and inspiration.
Learning and Growth: Actively seek feedback and guidance from senior team members, and proactively engage in learning opportunities to enhance your skills and expand your knowledge of design principles and industry trends

Requirements

Recent graduate with a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
1-2 years of internship / agency / freelance experience is a plus
Proficiency in Figma & Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
Familiarity working in Keynote, Google Slides, Notion, Slack, Mid-journey/AI platforms is a plus
Strong conceptual thinking and creative problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently & manage time autonomously in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
Passion for design and eagerness to learn and grow in a creative agency setting
