Position Summary:

THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION which requires the ability to work independently, as well as part of the billing team. This position is responsible for maintaining facility accounts in assigned Epic work-queues to ensure timely collection of insurance balances. Position handles review of insurance credits for possible refund to insurance or corrected claims Additional responsibilities include reviewing assigned claims WQs, releasing claims daily from clearinghouse and monitoring/correcting rejected claims.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Review assigned claims WQ and releasing claims daily from clearinghouse.

Maintaining Facility accounts in assigned Epic work-queues to ensure timely collection of insurance balances.

Responsible for processing daily incoming insurance correspondence.

Position handles review of insurance credits for possible refund to insurance or corrected claims.

Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Position Qualifications:

High school diploma required; Associates degree preferred.

A minimum of 7 years’ experience medical billing/ collection experience required.

Knowledge of third-party payers, claims review, analysis and quality assurance experience preferred.

Strong written communication skills. Must be organized, with high attention to detail.

Strong computer skills, utilizing a variety of software applications, including EPIC is required.

Data entry and/or PC experience required. Familiar with Word, Excel and internet navigation.

Must possess the ability to handle multiple projects/tasks at one time.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to communicate effectively using age-specific and developmentally appropriate care for the spectrum of populations admitted to Lindner Center of HOPE.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position are consistent with those performed in a normal office environment, including occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling, and sufficient manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment and ability to use to use a computer.

All candidates extended conditional offer of employment will be subject to will conduct a WebCheck (BCI & FBI Fingerprinting). Fingerprints will be submitted to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The reports from these agencies will include criminal record information. Lindner Center of HOPE will follow the requirements for employment based on the State of Ohio Administrative Code 5122-30-31, and any other regulatory requirements regarding criminal background checks. Lindner Center of HOPE also reserves the right to obtain Consumer Reports and/or Investigative Consumer Reports as defined in the Federal Fair Credit Reporting ACT (FCRA).
