As a Legal Billing Specialist at our firm, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing of legal invoices. You will work closely with our team of attorneys and staff to review, process, and submit invoices to clients. Your attention to detail and ability to navigate complex billing guidelines will be essential in this role. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with clients and resolve any billing discrepancies to ensure a seamless billing experience.

Responsibilities:

- Review attorney time entries and expenses for accuracy and compliance with billing guidelines

- Prepare and process invoices using our billing software

- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to resolve billing discrepancies and inquiries

- Communicate effectively with clients regarding billing matters and provide excellent customer service

- Assist with month-end billing reconciliation and reporting as needed

- Stay informed about industry best practices and updates in legal billing regulations

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal billing or related field

- Knowledge of and proficiency with legal billing coding; and formatting, (ABA UTBMS Codes; LEDES1998B)

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively

- Familiarity with legal terminology and standard billing guidelines is a plus
