Roadway Project Manager

Position Description:

ANTHEM is seeking an experienced Roadway Project Manager to join our team! You will collaborate with our design teams, sub-consultants, and clients to provide technical and management support in delivering a variety of transportation and community improvement projects. The desired candidate has delivered Florida Department of Transportation projects as a Roadway Project Manager and possesses the ability to deliver projects from the pursuit phase to post design services.

Responsibilities:

- Serve as Project Manager responsible for quality control, document management, schedules, budgets, staff allocation and providing technical and managerial leadership on key operational and safety related transportation projects;

- Provide technical and managerial leadership to project pursuit teams in procurement of FDOT contracts through project research, technical writeups, field reviews, technical panel sessions, interviews, Q&A’s, and other meetings;

- Develop and strengthen client relationships through marketing and business development strategies, and industry reputation and experience;

- Conduct peer, constructability, and cursory reviews, and resolve issues concerning conflicting design requirements, specifications and/or difficult coordination requirements;

- Determine the feasibility of designs and analyze engineering documents, roadway geometry, roadside conditions, and other constraints;

- Analyze engineering and historic documents, roadway geometry, roadside conditions, crash data, stakeholders, and other constraints to plan and design roadway improvements and temporary traffic control from concept to post-design;

- Prepare plans, specifications, quantities, cost estimates, planning and other documentation;

- Use computer-assisted engineering and design software (CADD), computer simulation models, Geographical Information System (GIS) resources, and equipment to prepare and review engineering documentation and analyses;

- Understand the shop drawing review process and technical design criteria procedures;

Required:

- Actively licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or ability to obtain within six months;

- 5+ years of relevant project management and roadway and TTCP design experience;

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field;

- Excellent technical writing, technology, interpersonal and communication skills;

- Detailed, client-first collaborator with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment;

- Demonstrates experience in project delivery and contract, scope, schedule and cost management;

- Demonstrate proficiency in design and analysis of FDOT temporary traffic control schemes, and roadway/safety design standards;

- Experience in FDOT design technology and deliverables including CADD, and design and analysis software;

Worksite: Hybrid (Office and Work from Home). Limited travel to support design and marketing efforts may be required.

The employee must be alert to equipment in the field, and the occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potentially work at heights.

Pay Range:

Competitive. Pay will vary based on demonstratable skills, expertise, and years of experience.
