Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled IT Specialist with expertise in implementing endpoint management systems using Microsoft Intune. The ideal candidate will also ensure that our IT systems comply with NIST 800-53 standards and manage cloud backup and endpoint imaging processes. This is a part-time or contract position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team to enhance our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Microsoft Intune Implementation:

Design, configure, and deploy an endpoint management system using Microsoft Intune.
Manage and secure devices, applications, and data using Intune.
Create and enforce security policies and configurations across endpoints.

Cloud Backup and Endpoint Imaging:

Design and implement cloud-based backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
Develop and manage endpoint imaging processes for rapid deployment and recovery.
Ensure regular backups and imaging processes are aligned with best practices and compliance requirements.
Monitor and maintain backup systems, ensuring successful execution and troubleshooting failures.

NIST 800-53 Compliance:

Conduct a thorough assessment of current IT systems to identify compliance gaps with NIST 800-53 standards.
Develop and implement a remediation plan to ensure compliance with NIST 800-53.
Collaborate with the IT and security teams to maintain ongoing compliance and prepare for audits.
Implement tools for tracking, access control, and transmission control of Unclassified Controlled Information (CUI). For example advanced email filters and DLP tagging system.

Documentation and Training:

Create comprehensive documentation of the Intune setup, cloud backup processes, endpoint imaging, and NIST 800-53 compliance.
Train internal IT staff on managing and maintaining the Intune environment, cloud backups, and imaging processes.
Provide company-wide training on information security awareness policies and best practices

Ongoing Support:

Provide support and troubleshooting for issues related to the Intune system, cloud backups, and endpoint imaging.
Offer expert guidance on best practices for endpoint management, backup, and security.
Conduct quarterly cybersecurity risk assessment reviews, regular testing of system control implementations, and regular reviews of audit logs.
Manage license procurement and administration for external IT service and software providers.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Proven experience in implementing Microsoft Intune for endpoint management.
Strong understanding of NIST 800-53 standards and experience in achieving compliance.
Hands-on experience with cloud-based backup solutions and endpoint imaging.
Prior experience in IT system administration, security, and compliance roles.

Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Intune and related technologies.
Strong knowledge of IT security principles and compliance frameworks, especially NIST 800-53.
Expertise in cloud backup solutions and endpoint imaging techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with teams.

Certifications:

Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals or similar.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent is a plus.
Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) related to backup and disaster recovery are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with other Microsoft 365 security tools.
Familiarity with cloud security practices, particularly in Microsoft Azure environments.
