Position Title: Project Manager – Aviation & Concession Development

Major Function:

The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate the full project development lifecycle for aviation and concession projects within airport environments. This role involves managing key processes, including design submittals, permitting, construction, and post-construction deliverables, while ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. As a critical cross-functional leader, the Project Manager will collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and various contractors to deliver high-quality, cutting-edge passenger and consumer experiences within the airport environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the development of aviation and concession projects, including tenant development, retail, and hospitality-related construction projects within terminal settings.
Work closely with stakeholders such as leasing, operations, and facilities teams to ensure smooth coordination and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate with design, construction, and tenant teams to ensure alignment with project goals, schedules, and budget.
Monitor the performance of contractors and ensure compliance with design specifications, regulations, and project milestones.
Proactively identify risks and challenges, propose solutions, and mitigate any potential impacts on project schedules or costs.
Ensure design submittals, permits, and construction timelines are met according to project schedules.
Maintain strong, positive working relationships with airport authorities, clients, and other project stakeholders, ensuring alignment with regulatory and political requirements.
Conduct regular site visits to oversee project progress, ensuring adherence to approved plans and timelines.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring each one is completed to a high standard and meets all quality and safety requirements.
Deliver comprehensive post-construction closeout packages and ensure seamless project transitions into operational phases.
Provide leadership and direction in meetings, conference calls, and other collaborative efforts to ensure team members are aligned with project objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
6+ years of experience in project management, preferably within airport environments, concession development, or large-scale retail and hospitality projects.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with a strong focus on timely, high-quality, and within-budget delivery.
Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and project management principles.
Familiarity with terminal or airport-related construction is highly desirable.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload efficiently.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work independently to solve complex problems creatively.
Knowledge of CPM scheduling and proficiency with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
Experience in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, with a solid understanding of MEP systems.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and other relevant software tools.
