Role Description

MoodTrail is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer for a full-time, remote position. As an integral part of the founding team, this equity-based role offers the opportunity to become a co-founder, with equal equity alongside the initial founding members. The Senior Fullstack Engineer will drive the development of scalable, AI-powered web applications, integrating both front-end and back-end technologies to build seamless and dynamic user experiences. You will play a key role in refining our AI and machine learning systems, ensuring robust performance as we prepare to launch our MVP.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
Build and optimize scalable back-end services that support AI/ML-driven functionalities.
Implement and fine-tune mood detection and matching algorithms, collaborating with the AI/ML team.
Ensure high-quality software development practices, focusing on performance, security, and scalability.
Work closely with the founding team to shape the technical direction of the company as we prepare for seed fundraising.
Solve complex technical challenges, drive continuous improvements, and implement innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in fullstack development, with expertise in back-end web development.
Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and building scalable, maintainable systems.
Experience with AI/ML integration into web platforms, including deploying and maintaining models in production environments.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, databases, and RESTful APIs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for innovation and delivering exceptional user experiences.
Ability to work independently and remotely, demonstrating excellent communication and teamwork skills.
