Due to the higher level of medical certifications the IV and Nutrient Technician will serve several functions for the facility. He/she will manage all IVs, blood draws and nutrient injections. He/she is a key resource for other team members when patient inquiry is out of their scope.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITES:

Adhere to all pertinent local, state, and federal regulations
Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture
Administer, prepare, and monitor IV services for patients
Prepare and administer nutrient therapies
Administer IM injections
Instruct patient on self-administering IM injections and subcutaneous injections
Reconstitute patient’s medications from compounding pharmacies
Perform inventory control
Perform sanitation and maintenance to ensure a clean service space
Perform sanitation, maintenance, and tracking of infusion equipment
Perform and explain specialty lab testing to patients
Become familiar with product knowledge to educate patients on services, treatments, etc.
Perform all other related duties directed by the Director of Clinical Services

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS:

Hold a current RN, Paramedic, LPN, or Phlebotomist license issued within the state of practice
Degree from an accredited college, university or higher learning institute
Must hold a current IV certification
Graduate of a formal technician training program preferred
Good team player willing to assist as needed to ensure the facility is operating smoothly and deliver exceptional patient experiences
Experience in blood draws, IV therapy and injections
Have a base knowledge of functional medicine, hormones and nutrition
Mature, confident, and flexible with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Works quickly and goes beyond the call of duty
Good communication skills
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while having strong attention to detail
