Community Programs Manager

Pacific Center for Human Growth is a 51-year-old grassroots non-profit organization serving theLGBTQIA+ community in the Bay Area. As the only LGBTQ-specific mental health clinic in Alameda County, Pacific Center is a critical resource for the health and wellness needs of the local LGBTQ community and a unique provider in the county healthcare system. Pacific Center offers low-cost individual, couples and family mental health services, HIV support services, peer support groups, interagency training and a youth support program.

The Community Programs Manager provides programmatic and clinical support and supervision for the various parts of Pacific Center’s programming. Community Programs provides support groups services, drop-in hours, and short term case management. Program participants with severe mental illness (SMI) can be offered additional support by way of linkage and referrals for any additional needed services.

Primary Responsibilities:

● Implement training, supervise, and support program facilitators + case managers

● Assist facilitators in gathering and maintaining intake information for all group participants

● Mentor group facilitators + clinical interns with the support of the Community Programs Director and any program coordinators

● Receive and respond to any referrals from clinical interns and program facilitators

● If referral is received, assess group member’s needs, refer to appropriate clinical & community service providers (housing, health/medical, legal assistance, food, transportation, etc ), follow-up regarding referral

● Track all referrals appropriately for our reporting needs

● Coordinate the data collection, evaluation, & reporting to our funders (government agencies and foundations) with the support of the Community Programs Director and Program Support & Evaluations Specialist

● Outreach to potential partners & other community organizations for group member recruitment, Pride events, & intergenerational events

● Work as a team member with other employees and volunteers at Pacific Center

● Assume other duties as assigned by the Community Programs Director and/or Executive Director

Ideal candidate will be:

● Licensed mental health clinician, 2+ years and clinical supervision training and certification required for clinical supervision needs--LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Licensed Psychologist

● Experienced working with Older Adults, Youth, and/or LGBTQIA+ community in a non-profit setting

● Experienced working with diverse communities

● Experienced with group facilitation

● Have strong ethical values, commitment to confidentiality and setting appropriate boundaries

● Experienced working on self-directed projects

● be familiar with WRAP plans and the SMI population

● Have basic computer skills: Google Workspace, Word, Excel etc

● Salesforce or EHR (electronic health record) experience helpful, not required

COMPENSATION:

● $77,450 - $87,5000/year salary

● Full-time Exempt position.

● Full health Benefits (medical, dental, vision) for employee, paid 100% by organization (share-of-cost

subject to change with fair warning)

● 24+ paid holidays, including ten days of organizational closure: one week+ in winter, one in summer, and two floating holidays, in addition to numerous staff holidays, paid vacation PTO, covid PTO, wellness and medical PTO, and bereavement
