The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Principal Investigator (PI), Dr. Michael Birnbaum, the Project Coordinator role is responsible for providing oversight and management of research and grant activities related to an NIMH-funded project that aims to develop a Digital Laboratory focused on advancing help-seeking in youth at Clinical High Risk (CHR) for developing psychosis from self-directed online screening towards treatment initiation, within the Division of Mental Health Services Research & Policy, in the Department of Psychiatry.
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include data coordination and project management.
- Laisse with participating clinics, maintaining effective referral and clinical information sharing procedures.
- Support referrals to local resources post-assessment; lead all aspects related to participant recruitment, consent, and reimbursement.
- Monitor achievement of grant implementation milestones, coordinate team activities, and lead and create agendas for meetings.
- Prepare and modify documents related to research activities, including progress reports and IRB submissions.
- Participate in the writing of grant reports, manuscripts, conference abstracts, and other submissions.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience
- Strong writing and analytic skills are required.
- Ability to make and carry out decisions independently, dedicated to team building and collaboration, and collaborate and manage partnerships with various stakeholders.
- Must have experience with research and research training, including literature reviews, protocol development, survey development, data collection, database management, preliminary data analyses, and IRB submissions.
- Ability to work under pressure with multiple and competing deadlines required.
- Must be highly organized, with excellent communication and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team with administrative and clinical research.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NIMH-funded clinical trials.
- Experience collaborating with national research networks.
- Experience with Qualtrics, REDCap, SPSS.
- Successful candidate will possess a high level of initiative, clear communication skills, leadership experience, and a high degree of organization.
- Successful candidate will possess the ability to anticipate obstacles, problem-solve, and manage multiple competing tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
