National Positions, an award-winning digital marketing agency based in Westlake Village, California is ACTIVELY looking for an experienced account manager for our Paid Search Department. In this role you will be responsible for growing/scaling accounts, strategic innovation, and client retention/success.
We are a 100% remote team and are open to candidates based anywhere within the United States.
The Skills We Want (but not limited to)
- Excellent knowledge of Google Ads (campaign creation, keyword research, ad copy, extensions, bidding, etc)
- Knowledge of Merchant Center with setting up feeds and running Shopping campaigns
- Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising certified (A Must)
- Excellent communication skills - Ability to effectively communicate with clients, set expectations, and strategy.
- Ability to lead score and optimize towards better signals based on qualified leads, MQL, SQL, and sales. This would include lead measurement within a CRM and integration back to Google Ads for OCT.
- Able to work well with clients and internal stakeholders e.g. sales, web development, C-level management.
- Strong time management skills (people, projects, deadlines)
- Excited to work with a small interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
- An interest in high performance and efficiency (you MUST care about the results)
- Working knowledge of the search landscape and platforms: Google Ads, Google Analytics, Microsoft Ads
- Working Knowledge of search and media landscape tools (Keyword Planner and competitive tools such as SEMRush, SpyFu etc.) Note* If you have other tools you know - that's great too!
- Ability to work in a high stress environment.
- Knowledge of Quickbase or other project management program is a plus

- Demonstrate relationship management and churn prevention skills, and the ability to engage clients on new products and features.

- Optimize campaign bids/budgets to maximize scale and efficiency on a daily basis.
- Recognize patterns, issues, and red flags for improving campaign performance.
- Understand how Google Paid Media fits into the omnichannel digital marketing puzzle (SEO teams, design teams, content teams, etc)
Data, Numbers, and The Nitty Gritty
- Analyze ad performance and make suggestions for future creative tests.
- Report on performance and campaign profitability
- Manage paid search campaigns from end-to-end—keyword research, planning, strategy, execution, analysis, and optimization.
- Implementing tests to generate learnings and improve campaign performance.
- Work with broader media team to ensure search campaign success.
- Test and analyze new PPC formats and betas.
- Develop advertising messaging that aligns with the client’s creative strategies and search for best practices.
- Communicate directly with clients on key accounts regarding strategy, performance outcomes, and next steps.
- Experience analyzing data, trends, and client information to identify product or service growth opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate For This Role
- Has a degree in marketing, business, finance, or a related field.
- At least one year in an agency atmosphere or brand-side experience marketing services or products working with the Google Ads platform.
- Strong analytical skills, reporting capabilities, and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
