Summary
Block One is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable person to join our team. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for delivering assigned projects on time, within budget and with high levels of customer satisfaction. Technical Project Managers work with internal and external teams to define project milestones, set priorities, and coordinate the work required for project completion. This position requires a high level of organization and the ability to communicate clearly. We are looking for someone excited to work with our customers remotely as well as onsite at customer locations.

- Strong ability to communicate with cross-functional teams spanning multiple time zones; we work closely with colleagues in China, Philippines, and Australia
- Continuous improvement mindset – constantly looking at processes and how we can automate, upgrade for efficiency purposes, etc.; is never satisfied with the status quo
- Ability to read and evaluate installation and service materials such as engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams, etc. and make appropriate updates and revisions as necessary
- Familiarity with using basic tools and configuring network hardware such as servers, routers, and switches is a plus
- Work requires extensive travel, possibly at a moments notice; generally 1-3 weeks per trip
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional project teams through onsite and remote warehouse automation implementations
- Create and maintain detailed project plans from project inception through completion
- Constantly communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding all project-related activities; this includes in person, over the phone and email communications
- Provide remote and onsite technical support to customers predominantly in distribution warehouses
- Document reproduction steps, recommendations, and resolutions clearly in the ticketing system
- Use basic tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, multimeter, etc.) to assist others on the implementation team as needed
- Consult with remote development team, or engineering teams as necessary, to troubleshoot and resolve issues in the field

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use their hands for tasks such as handling, reaching, and fine manipulation, as well as engage in verbal communication. The employee must lift a minimum of 50 pounds, and at times up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will be required to climb on and maneuver conveyor equipment to perform maintenance.
Travel:
This position requires frequent overnight travel to customer sites, possibly at a moment's notice, and generally 1-3 weeks per trip. Additional travel can include international offices, and trade shows. Employees need to be able to drive and rent cars.
Additional Details
Location: This is a remote position. Additional consideration will be given to applicants near our headquarters in Fort Collins, CO.
Salary + Incentive Pay: $85,000-$115,000

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will have occasion to drive and be in the community or in customer offices or warehouses. On these occasions, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, precarious places, outside weather conditions, forklift operations and general warehouse conditions.
