Role Description
The HR & Office Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources department and ensuring the smooth running of EDR’s Houston office operations. This role involves a combination of HR responsibilities, administrative duties, and office management tasks.
Responsibilities
Human Resources
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new employees.
- Maintain and update personnel records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Coordinate training sessions and professional development programs.
- Assist with payroll and benefits administration.
Office Administration
- Oversee daily office operations ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Manage office supplies inventory, place orders, and track expenditures.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail, emails, and phone calls.
- Coordinate company events, meetings, and appointments.
- Serve as the point of contact for office-related issues and liaise with building management, vendors, and service providers.
- Support administrative needs of various departments as required.
Qualifications
- Preferably Associate’s Degree at a minimum, or a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- High level of ethics and integrity
- Strong attention to detail; high degree of accuracy
- Customer service-oriented and desire to help wherever necessary
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
- Problem-solving attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Negotiation skills working with vendors/suppliers
