Position Summary
The Program Associate will be responsible for a range of tasks including writing and research, scheduling and logistics, client correspondence, clerical, and administrative duties. This role requires a high degree of attention to detail, excellent time management, and strong communication skills to support the smooth operation of our programs.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Writing & Research
· Create and revise documents, reports, and presentations.
· Conduct research to support program development and evaluation.
Scheduling & Logistics
· Schedule meetings, events, and travel arrangements.
· Coordinate logistics to ensure seamless execution of events.
Client Correspondence
· Respond to client inquiries and support client engagement.
· Maintain positive and professional communication with clients.
Clerical & Administrative
· Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and office management.
· Support the team with various clerical tasks to ensure efficient office operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Some experience in a similar role involving administrative support, research, and client communication. Experience in coordinating meetings and events, including logistical arrangements.
Skills:
· Attention to Detail: Precision in writing and document creation to ensure clarity and quality.
· Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client correspondence and internal communication.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency with office software and tools, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements
• This position is hybrid though qualified candidates who are not based in Sacramento will be considered.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $57,000. The salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience.

INTERVIEW PROCESS
Qualified applicants will be invited to participate in a virtual interview with one or more Capitol Impact staff. Applicants selected from the first-round interviews will be invited to a second-round interview, which may include a case study presentation and writing exercise. Finalists will be interviewed by a panel of Capitol Impact senior leadership and key stakeholders.
