Marketing Coordinator - Luxury Focus
Online Vacation Center is seeking an experienced email and direct mail marketer to work in a fulltime, stable role that develops and executes daily emails and weekly print pieces end to end. Business operates on Eastern Time. Position is remote for employees residing outside the tri-county area (Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade). Local team members currently report to the office one time per week.
Online Vacation Center is one of the country’s largest cruise retailers and a family run travel agency that has been in business for over 50 years. The Online Vacation Center marketing department supports the sales team by creating email, digital, and print materials that help customers to research, plan, and purchase a vacation. Online Vacation Center has a close partnership with the world’s leading cruise lines and tour operators and is a top producer in the industry year after year.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will create emails and direct mail to support the organization, as well as develop additional creative to increase luxury business. You will be an essential part of the marketing team and have the opportunity to learn from others.
Other responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining an in-depth understanding of Company product and promotions.
- Maintaining consistency in visual and written brand elements across various platforms and mediums.
- Creating and refining key messaging to effectively convey the brand's value proposition and key differentiators.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand project goals, objectives, and timelines.
- Some copywriting and creation of graphic elements.
- Creating and editing Webflow pages.
- Staying updated on industry trends and best practices related to email marketing, direct mail, and creative design to enhance the effectiveness of communication materials.
- Ad hoc tasks.
Requirements
Ideal candidates are passionate about email and direct marketing, detail-oriented, resourceful, self-motivated, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
- Must reside and work within the US. Due to state laws, we are only seeking candidates who reside in the following states: FL, GA, SC, NC, VA, NH, CT, TX.
- Have professional experience creating and deploying emails and designing and packaging direct mail.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and utilize resources to problem solve and meet deadlines.
- Ability and willingness to receive continuous constructive feedback, regarding creative materials.
- High degree of flexibility and adaptability to change.
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
- Be comfortable with repetitive nature of tasks.
- Knowledge of HTML, WordPress, Webflow, and marketing software, such as Act-On, Marketo, Constant Contact or similar.
- Strong verbal and written command of the English language, including grammar and spelling.
- Proficiency in Adobe CC products: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Dreamweaver a plus.
- Knowledge of print design layout and typography.
- Basic understanding and ability to use Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Strong computer skills and ability/willingness to correspond via email and Microsoft Teams.
- Previous luxury marketing experience required.
- Previous cruise, travel, or hospitality industry experience preferred.
- CSS, JavaScript, etc., a plus.
