Hammer Creative is seeking an experienced Social Media Manager who exhibits a strong passion for video games. This role will be responsible for planning, implementing, managing and monitoring the social media strategy across a variety of accounts. The successful candidate will own the creative and strategic development to increase online presence, improve marketing and sales efforts, and enhance brand awareness. The Social Media Manager will work closely with our Social and Creative teams to ensure alignment of social strategy and client goals.
This is a contract position with the potential to lead to a full-time staff role.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy.
- Define the most important social media KPIs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
- Oversee the creation process, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, copywriting).
- Develop a content calendar and ensure a consistent posting schedule.
- Collaborate with marketing, creative, and production teams to create compelling social media content.
- Foster a sense of community and engagement with followers including but not limited to; responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner.
- Monitor and report on feedback and online reviews.
- Analyze social media campaigns with tracking systems to gather visitor data and determine efficacy and areas for social media campaign improvement.
- Prepare monthly reports on social media marketing efforts and adjust strategies based on data analytics.
- Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing.
- Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network.
- Liaise with other departments to stay updated on new marketing initiatives, product and service developments, and to ensure brand consistency.
- Manage social media advertising campaigns and budgets.
- Create and manage sponsored content and social ad campaigns.
- Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone, voice, and terminology.
- Drive brand awareness and encourage positive brand sentiment through all social media channels.
- Monitor and manage any potential social media crises, maintaining the company’s reputation and mitigating any potential issues.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years proven working experience in social media marketing preferably in advertising and/or entertainment industries.
- Excellent consulting, writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
- Adequate knowledge of all established and emerging social platforms.
- Knowledge of online marketing and a good understanding of major marketing channels.
- Positive attitude and attention to detail and customer-oriented mindset
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment maintaining and organizational ability.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
- Experience with paid social media advertising a plus.
