JOB SUMMARY
This role is based on-site at the San Diego headquarters. The HR Generalist will assist with various HR functions and processes including recruitment, onboarding, compensation, benefits, training and development, employee leaves, data entry and records management, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for activities in the recruitment process including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews and creating new hire schedules.
- Accountable for onboarding processes including preparing offer letters, data entry and completing I-9s.
- Conduct the employee off-boarding process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS, including personal information, compensation, benefits, and performance evaluations.
- Support payroll processing and assist with benefits administration.
- Assist in the administration of compensation programs, includes data analysis and calculations, processing merit/promotion increases and equity awards.
- Assist with the development and implementation of policies and programs inside and outside of the US.
- Answer employees’ questions on policies, procedures and benefits.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information and HR records.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
- Provide support for HRIS implementation and upgrades, including data migration and system testing.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree from a college or university preferred with a major or emphasis in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field.
- 3-5 years of human resources related experience and/or training.
- Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems such as TriNet, Lattice etc.
- Familiar with US based employment laws.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Must possess analytical and problem-solving skills with particular attention to detail required.
