We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clerk-Typist to join our team. As a Senior Clerk-Typist, you will be responsible for performing various clerical and typing duties with a high level of accuracy and efficiency. This is a crucial role in our organization, as you will play a key part in facilitating effective communication and documentation processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and type a wide variety of correspondence, reports, and documents accurately and in a timely manner.
- Input data into computer systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Review and proofread documents for errors or inconsistencies before finalizing them.
- Maintain and update files and records, both electronic and physical, ensuring confidentiality and security.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries, redirecting them to the appropriate staff members when necessary.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for senior staff members.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of agendas, meeting minutes, and other relevant materials.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a clerk-typist or in a similar administrative role
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in using computer software, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of office equipment, such as printers, copiers, and fax machines
- Familiarity with office procedures and terminology
