Dev Ops and IT Engineer
We are a small and growing company of 13 employees looking for a Dev Ops person to help us implement secure and sustainable technologies as we scale.
IT Support
- Provide ongoing help desk support and resolve employees' technical issues.
- Roll out new systems
- Maintain and update evergreen employee documentation for various applications like Zoom and Dropbox as new versions are released in alignment with both accessibility and security policies.
- Manage security tools such as 1Password
- Monitor and manage company subscriptions (e.g. GitHub, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, Adobe, ChatGPT, Google Workspace, Dropbox, Wasabi, Digital Ocean, SpinUp WP).
- Handle account creation and deletion for onboarding and offboarding employees.
- Explore Single Sign-On (SSO) options.
Policy Development
Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement the following policies:
- Server Management
- Backup Management
- Security and IT Best Practices to be required of External Contractors.
Dev Ops
- Support Developers in configuring and deploying various environments.
- Coordinate website deployments, manage PR previews, and handle rollbacks if needed.
- Manage Digital Ocean Droplets, including creation, decommissioning, and usage monitoring.
- Manage SSH keys and Bastian Host configurations.
- Manage Cloud Storage and Perform Related Tasks
Company Security
- Collaborate with leadership to evaluate and evolve company security policies.
- Perform security scans of company assets, coordinate annual penetration tests, monitor emerging risks, and apply necessary patches.
- Identify employee security risks and conduct annual security reviews with team members.
- Collaborate with leadership to define permissions models for company systems including Google Workspace, GitHub, Dropbox, and Slack.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in IT/Dev Ops Engineering related roles.
- Proficient problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiar with Git Workflows
- Team-oriented with a strong understanding of computer software, hardware, and networks.
- Proven Project Management Skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $54,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
Compensation package:
