ABOUT US

Helix Publicity is a full-service global publicity agency that is dedicated to helping Asian artists and entertainment professionals stand out in today’s ever-changing media landscape.

We are seeking a Publicity Intern to support our publicists working with our K-pop & J-pop clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Writing: press releases, pitches, press reports
Research: pitch lists, media outlets, contacts, vendors

REQUIREMENTS

Interest in publicity and music, especially K-pop and J-pop
Fluency in English language with excellent writing, speaking, comprehension, and communication skills
Organized, motivated, and great attention to detail
Know how to use Microsoft Word, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc
Must be over 18 years of age and must be legally eligible to work in the United States
Have a quiet space to work and good WiFi for meetings
Bachelor's degree or in-progress Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, or other related field
Capable of being discreet! We have to ensure that the privacy of our clients is maintained and respected.

NICE TO HAVES

Prior PR internship experience
Fluency in reading, speaking, and writing in Korean, Japanese, Spanish, and/or Portuguese is a huge plus
Existing relationships and/or contacts in the music industry

SCHEDULE

Might require some unique hours working on EST & KST timezones
Must be available to attend virtual client interviews, meetings, and media training

DETAILS

Starts at 10 hours a week with potential for growth; Pay is $16 per hour.
This position is fully remote, with the possibility to attend occasional meetings and events in person as needed (but if any travel would be agreed upon, Helix would cover all expenses).
