We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Unity Game Developer with expertise in Firebase to join our team. Our ideal candidate is passionate about game development, has a strong background in Unity, and is proficient with Firebase.
Job Description: As a Senior Unity Game Developer, you will be responsible for joining our team in progress on our flagship turn-based strategy game using Unity and Firebase. You will work closely with other senior developers as well as our design and art teams to create a captivating gameplay experience, ensure smooth integration with Firebase services, and optimize game performance. Your role will involve developing and leading technical aspects of our project, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating on innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-quality games using Unity and Firebase.
- Implement and maintain game features, including UI, gameplay mechanics, and backend services.
- Integrate Firebase services such as Authentication, Firestore, Realtime Database, Cloud Functions, and Analytics into game projects.
- Optimize game performance for various platforms, including mobile and desktop.
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and other developers to create engaging gameplay experiences.
- Lead technical discussions and provide guidance to junior developers.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring the stability and performance of games.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in game development and Firebase technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Unity Game Developer, with a portfolio of completed projects.
- Strong proficiency in Unity and C#.
- Experience with multiplayer game development.
- Knowledge of cloud computing and server management.
- Extensive experience with Firebase services, including Authentication, Firestore, Realtime Database, Cloud Functions, and Analytics.
- Solid understanding of game development principles, including physics, animation, and UI design.
- Experience optimizing games for performance on multiple platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead technical projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with other game development frameworks and tools.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
