**Description:**
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic student volunteer to teach game programming to a middle school student with a keen interest in game development. The tutoring will cover both Roblox Studio and Python, with a focus on designing and developing games from beginner to advanced levels.
**Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement a structured curriculum that covers the basics to advanced concepts of game programming.
- Teach the fundamentals of Roblox Studio, including scripting with Lua, game mechanics, and user interface design.
- Provide instruction in Python programming, emphasizing its application in game development.
- Guide the student through hands-on projects to design, develop, and debug their own games.
- Offer constructive feedback and support to help the student improve their programming skills.
- Encourage creativity and problem-solving abilities within the context of game development.
- Adjust teaching methods based on the student’s learning pace and style.
- Maintain regular communication with the student and their parents to report on progress and address any challenges.
**Qualifications:**
- Proficiency in Roblox Studio and Lua scripting.
- Strong knowledge of Python programming language.
- Experience in game design and development.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
- Patience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for mentoring young learners.
- Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
