Responsibilities
As a Product Marketing Manager, you will be crucial in validating new ideas, interacting with potential customers, and devising and conducting various testing strategies. You will be instrumental in finding whitespace opportunities in the market and ensuring our offerings align with customer needs and preferences. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing within the wellness and hospitality industry.
Generate and prioritize product hypotheses:
- Develop hypotheses about customer needs, product features, and market opportunities
- Prioritize hypotheses based on the potential impact and feasibility of testing
Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses:
- Create experimental designs to validate assumptions about the product, market, or customers
- Implement A/B tests, user surveys, prototype testing, and other validation methods
- Analyze results and draw actionable insights from experiments
Validate product ideas and features:
- Work with product management to identify key assumptions underlying new product ideas
- Design and execute validation studies to assess market demand and product-market fit
- Use techniques like fake door tests, landing page tests, and early bird offers to gauge interest
Conduct customer research:
- Plan and carry out user interviews, focus groups, and surveys
- Analyze customer feedback and usage data to inform product decisions
- Create and refine user personas based on research findings
Develop and test messaging and positioning:
- Craft value propositions and messaging hypotheses
- Test different messaging approaches with target audiences
- Refine positioning based on customer feedback and market response
Collaborate on MVP development and testing:
- Work with product teams to define minimum viable product (MVP) features
- Plan and execute MVP launch strategies
- Gather and analyze user feedback on MVPs to inform product iterations
Analyze competitive landscape:
- Conduct ongoing competitive research and analysis
- Identify gaps in the market and potential areas for differentiation
- Test hypotheses about competitive advantages and market positioning
Drive data-informed decision making:
- Collect and analyze data from various sources (e.g., product usage, customer feedback, market trends)
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
- Use data to inform product strategy and marketing decisions
Measure and optimize product-market fit:
- Implement and analyze product-market fit surveys
- Track key metrics related to customer adoption and satisfaction
- Recommend product improvements based on market feedback and performance data
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration:
- Share insights and validation results across the organization
- Ensure alignment between product development and market needs
Qualification
- 3+ years in product marketing, with recent senior roles.
- Bachelor's degree or currently working towards a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
- Successful completion of introductory courses in marketing, business, or equivalent.
- Experience with hypotheses testing, market research methodologies, go-to-market strategies, product launches, and marketing campaigns
- Background in conducting research and analyzing data
