The role
We are looking for a results-driven Creative Project Management Associate to handle the planning, execution, and delivery of marketing projects within our agency. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex projects with limited direction, a deep understanding of marketing and creative projects, and an interest in developing efficient project workflows and managing client relationships.
The Creative Project Management Associate will play a huge role in making sure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction. You’ll be representing our brand as the first point of contact and communicating with clients. We expect you to be professional, responsive, and proactive.

The responsibilities
Project tracking, management, and delivery
- Create project tracking folders and maintain documents and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Conduct regular project kickoff or check-in meetings and provide clear direction and guidance to team members, ensuring that everyone is aligned with project goals and deliverables.
- Provide overall quality control to ensure creative meets best practices for channels, and all technical requirements of brief/spec.
- Manage all creative resourcing for marketing, both in house capacity as well as freelancers, including onboarding and negotiating contracts, and vendor agreements (e.g. set up, contract coordination, etc).
Client and team communication
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates, managing all work in Asana, addressing concerns or roadblocks, and managing client expectations to ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
- Communicate with creative stakeholders daily to align on timelines and moving priorities, identifying any roadblocks or contingencies early in a project.
- Provide regular internal leadership updates on ongoing projects, clients, and workflows.
Proposal creation and client budget management
- Develop comprehensive project proposals using automated software tools that define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resources required for successful execution. Communicate with clients to determine specs, launch dates, project resources and requirements, and all project details.
- Maintain detailed records of client budgets, purchase orders (POs), and retainers, and keep clients updated of monthly or quarterly progress.
- Work closely with finance operations to ensure all projects are invoiced in a timely manner.
Optimization of workflows and processes
- Continuously and proactively evaluate our internal processes and find opportunities to optimize our ways of working and provide recommendations to management, including new tools and templates that enable automated and efficient workflows to maximize team output and eliminate missed deadlines or feedback.
Miscellaneous administrative projects and tasks
- Communicate with internal teams to help manage day-to-day business operations.
- Support ad hoc projects and tasks like client gifts, team activities, booking meetings, and more.
About you
- You have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management preferably within a marketing or creative agency environment.
- You enjoy working in a collaborative environment and have a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex marketing projects on time and within budget.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- You’re an advocate for the creative department, with an expert grasp of what it takes to complete creative assignments.
- You have a deep familiarity with Asana, G Suite, Zoom, and other project management-related tools.
- In-depth understanding of various marketing strategies and tactics, including marketing design, content marketing, and creative campaign planning.
- You’re a natural problem-solver with a passion for creating order from chaos. You’re comfortable making critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- You’re confident in managing multiple projects and stakeholders, competing timelines, and dozens of deliverables.
- You sweat the details and maintain highly organized processes and documentation.
- You can respond to a change in course with flexibility; you know how to disagree without being disagreeable. You’re able to pivot easily and propose solutions when something isn’t working.
- You’re humble and open to feedback, and you’re interested in learning and developing your skills.
Compensation and benefits
Annual salary — $65,000 - $75,000 (USD)

Location and details
This role is remote, Monday through Friday, and has a combination of coworking hours with our team in Boston (EST) and flexible hours. We expect to work collaboratively at the same hours for at least 5 hours per day M-F, and you may work flexible hours the remaining hours per week.
