We are a well-funded startup based in New York City and are looking for a talented UI/UX Designer to join our growing team.

Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to help define and elevate the user experience across our website, web applications, and product interfaces. You will ensure that all elements of the online user experience are optimized for improved usability, usefulness, and exceptional visual design.

Responsibilities

Design visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces, including information architecture, navigation, and interaction models, for our keyboard customizer and e-commerce website.
Developing and conceptualizing a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand.
Producing high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.
Designing UI elements and tools such as keyboard customizer, navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and widgets for our digital assets.
Testing UI elements such as CTAs, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links for landing pages.
Collaborating with the marketing team, and internal and external designers to ensure the creation and delivery of tailored experiences for the digital user.

Qualification

A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years’ UI/UX design experience for digital products or services.
A portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for both web and mobile platforms.
Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in user-centered design, information architecture, and visual design.
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively articulate design concepts and rationale.
Experience developing online product customization tool is preferred.
Experiences using Shopify and its website creation tools is preferred.
Experiences working as a contractor or freelancer is preferred.

This is a contract position for approximately 3 - 6 months, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.
