We’re Compass Regulatory, an early stage technology startup building the regulatory and compliance platform for the ag industry. We help agriculture companies – starting with crop input developers and retailers – easily track and execute their regulatory work, letting them bring new products to market faster while reducing the risk of costly errors. Our team comes from some of the leading companies in the AgTech industry, and has received investment from notable SaaS and AgTech investors.
We are seeking a talented and ambitious full-stack engineer to join our growing technical team (currently three engineers). In this role you will:
- Collaborate with the founding team to design and build software across the stack
- Contribute your great sense of design by translating mockups into user experiences that delight
- Work with the Head of Engineering and Data Science to shape product and development roadmaps to balance technical debt and feature delivery
- Share in building a technical community that promotes curiosity and innovation
What you bring
- 3+ years of relevant experience as a Full-stack engineer with major contributions to front-end features
- Experience with technologies we’re using: Python & Django, Postgres, HTMX, Alpine.js, and TailwindCSS
- Proficiency with devops infrastructure and tooling: AWS, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and logging and monitoring tools
- A solid understanding of the full web development life cycle

Compensation and Additional Information
We take a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into two zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone 1 (San Francisco/Oakland/San Jose; New York; Los Angeles; Seattle): $130,000-$190,000
Zone 2 (All other): $110,000-$170,000
This role is also eligible to participate in the company's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies. Additional benefits include time off and retirement plan eligibility further detailed in company policies.
