Overview:

SSAT.AI is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team and specialize in Data Mesh technologies. In this full-time hybrid role, you will be at the forefront of developing and maintaining our data mesh infrastructure, ensuring efficient data access, governance, and integration across distributed systems, and optimizing data management and performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-performance solutions that help us industrialize our co-innovation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement data mesh solutions to ensure reliable and efficient data access and management across distributed services and applications.
Optimize the performance, scalability, and governance of our data mesh infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data mesh deployments, integrations, and configurations.
Work closely with development, data engineering, and operations teams to integrate data mesh technologies into existing systems and workflows.
Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices related to data mesh and distributed data system design.
Maintain and enhance existing data mesh systems to adapt to evolving data requirements and organizational needs.
Develop and manage database solutions, including in-memory databases, column-store databases, and other advanced database technologies to support high-performance data processing and analytics.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in computer science and software development.
Strong skills in back-end web development and object-oriented programming.
Proficiency in programming languages relevant to data mesh technologies (e.g., Go, Python, Java, Rust).
Solid problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Expertise with container orchestration platforms and technologies, especially Kubernetes.
Hands-on experience with Vitess.

Preferred:

Hands-on experience with data mesh technologies and principles, such as domain-oriented data ownership, self-serve data infrastructure, and federated computational governance.
Expertise with Apache Kafka, Apache Pulsar, Apache Spark, and Apache Hadoop.
Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL for data access and integration.
Experience with advanced database technologies, including in-memory databases (e.g., Redis, Memcached) and column-store databases (e.g., Apache HBase).
Familiarity with distributed data systems architecture and cloud-native data application design.
